It is hard to imagine much better than a boat ride out into the Gulf of Mexico to catch everything from Grouper, on the many wrecks, to the illusive sailfish, and everything in between. Inshore red fish inhabit the marshes along with sheepshead, flounder, and lots of other fish. Snapper, marlin, tuna, wahoo, dolphin, bonito, and cobia are a few more of the exciting saltwater fish that are caught out in the Gulf. Freshwater fishing on Alabama’s many lakes and ponds offers monster catfish, lots of largemouth bass, and all the crappie and pan fish, that can be eaten. |
