Louisiana has one of the largest estuaries and productive fisheries in the United States. On the Mississippi Delta where the river begins to mingle with the ocean, there are more miles of marsh and wetlands than anyone can begin to dream of fishing; and it is all productive largemouth and redfish waters. Bayou swamp fishing is a must. The beauty of a southern swamp is unmatched, and seen very few other places in the world. The fishing complements the scenery very well. While in Louisiana definitely take a boat out into the Gulf of Mexico to catch your favorite big game fish because, from marlin to dolphin, they run in abundance in the gulf. If you do head to the swamps and marshes, be sure to take one of our guides because you will get lost in there. |
