From the mountains to the sea Maryland has excellent fishing. The Shenandoah and Susquehanna are fantastic mountainous rivers that offer smallmouth galore. There are beautiful, scenic rivers that pass by some very historic places, especially where the Shenandoah and Potomac converge near Harpers Ferry. Great smallmouth can be found all the way down the Potomac past Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home, to where it meets the Chesapeake Bay. Huge stripers are then in abundance and the bluefish fishingcan be unbelievable. Take the Bay on out to sea off of Edgewater, bishopville among other towns, and catch marlin, tuna, wahoo, and the works. Maryland really does offer great fishing from the mountains to the sea. |
