Ohio anglers have plenty of great fishing waters to choose from with over 200 inland lakes, 451 miles of the Ohio River, 40,000 miles of streams, and 2.25 million acres bordering Lake Erie. Lake Erie is, of course, a major hot spot with excellent walleye, yellow perch, channel catfish, and smallmouth bass. The Sandusky and Maumee Rivers are top spots for walleye as well. Saugeye and muskie are popular catches in Ohio’s many inland lakes including Buckeye Lake, Indian Lake, Leesville Lake, Piedmont Lake, Atwood Lake, and Alum Creek Lake. The Ohio River is full of monster channel cats. |
