It seems that almost every square inch of Tennessee is covered in water. It is hard to be anymore than 10 minutes from great fishing anywhere in the state. The Smoky Mountains in the east offer majestic scenery and excellent streams containing smallmouth bass, brook, brown and rainbow trout fishing. The valley of Tennessee has more lakes and rivers than can be counted and they are full of largemouth and smallmouth bass, stripers, crappie, and catfish. The areas near the Mississippi River hold giant catfish and the rare monster-sized paddlefish along with bass, crappie, bluegill, stripers, and many other types of fish. |
