Utah is a fabulous fishing state, the scenery is impeccable and the fish are fat and plentiful. Some estimates on certain rivers are upwards of 10,000 trout per mile. The picturesque location in the southwest is almost like stepping back in time to a John Wayne movie to catch a few fish, or 10,000. Rainbow, cutthroat, brown, brookies, and BIG tiger trout inhabit the many streams of Utah. The Provo and Green Rivers are probably the most famous but the local small stream will provide for less people and possibly better fishing. And for the truly brave souls, there are guides that run trips into the untamed backcountry of Mexico. |
